Physics, Hymns, Coffee, and Procrastination….
I knew this day would come, the day when I would brek down and write a nostalgic post about high school. Well, here it comes.
Tonight I am sitting here studying for my one and only final exam. After tomorrow I am completely done with high school I should have been done studying hours ago, but I just can’t stop reading my Physics textbook. I think it is because it is the last thing between the life know now and the new life I have yet to discover. I mean every year since Kindergarten I have packed up shop for the summer and then walked right back into Open Door the next fall to start a new year. 13 years of the same routine, it just became familiar, it became home. Its all I know.
In three months I will be moving to Massachusetts, 12 hours away from anything I have ever known. No more Open Door, no more grabbing my homework out of my locker when I am supposed to be in youth group. No more Caylie and Kristen texting me where to sit on Sunday Mornings. No more riding to school with Jeffrey. Just Complete Unknown.
But I have always been one for adventure and I am so looking forward to starting my time at Gordon College!
But before I go, some notes to those I love who have tumblrs:
Kristen: We have so many inside jokes from Junior High! Dr. Seuss, LOTR, David Archuleta, 13 going on 30, Pac Sun guy, Cedar Point guys, Jacob from Hallmark, Train guy, milk duds, spilling coffee, emo ice skaters…etc… Look I know we don’t always get along, but when we do you have to admit, its awesome ;) . I can’t wait to see where life takes you!
Caylie: Can I just say, I love your heart of worship. On more than one occasion at church we have looked at each other and been like, “wow, this is epic”. I love that we have become closer these last couple of years. The plays have been awesome. You are awesome.
Makenzy: OMG. We have had quite the year together. We have stressed together, laughed together, cried together, and praised God together. It seems that you have been going through a lot of the same things I at the same time I have during this last year. It has been great having someone to go to that can understand exactly what I am thinking. Can I just say that you have been such a comfort to me. From the drive-in fiasco, to Valentine’s Day, to Prom, to the North Field, we have had some pretty crazy times together. I don’t think this year would have been the same without your level-headed advice though. You have a fantastic heart and I can’t wait to see how God uses you! He is going to do some crazy awesome things with you girl!
